Terry Sharbaugh moved to Durham NH with his wife, Kathie, in 1986 to serve Durham Evangelical Church and is now one of the Pastors. The Sharbaughs have been married since 1981 and have four adult children.
He says: “I came to DEC in June of 1986 from Denver, having just graduated from Denver Seminary. When Kath and I came we brought one little blonde child with us and one in the hatch (which we didn’t know at the time).
I had become a Christian during my college years at Humboldt State University in California. I was heavily involved with a campus ministry called Navigators. It was in college and later on a short term mission trip that I first felt that ‘tug’ or calling, to be a pastor. I spent a year in Bible school in Oregon working with a newly ‘planted’ church and then headed to Denver for five years. This explains my severe devotion to the Broncos.”
Terry enjoys just about anything outdoors — archery, hunting/fishing, hiking, biking, tennis, golf (“just kidding, I hate golf”).
