Haiti update 1/30/10
Saturday, January 30th, 2010
The sights, smells, and lawlessness are beyond comprehension. The stories they’ve heard and stories they’ve experienced are heart breaking. But through it all, they see God’s perfect plans in motion in them and around them. They have traveled around the city and witnessed some of the worst devastation. They have served tirelessly at the PID clinic to treat and comfort the sick and injured. They have provided vital assistance with food distributions. They are facing the constant challenges of fatigue and stress resulting from such overwhelming need and chaos. Please continue to pray God will continue to protect them and use them to bless PID and the people of Haiti.

Haiti prayer update 1/26/10
Tuesday, January 26th, 2010
The initial team from DEC and PID has arrived in Port au Prince after a very, very long day of travel. As harrowing as the trek to Port au Prince was, the situation of the people there is terrible to behold. This first team consists of people from PID and DEC, among them 2 nurses, a doctor, an electrician, a pastor and long term PID missionaries. Yesterday they were able to open the clinic with UN Peace Keepers. They’ve witnessed riots, flat tires, hunger, sickness, devastation, lawlessness, fear and death. And in the midst of this heart wrenching chaos they rejoice in God’s faithfulness and protection.
Please pray for their continued safety and stamina to serve.
Please pray God will open a window to provide transportation for medical and relief supplies that are ready and waiting for them.
Pray for hope for the people of Haiti.

A Special Sunday with Derek Williams
Thursday, October 8th, 2009
October 18th, we’ll have the privilege of hosting Derek Williams from sunny southern California at all three services. Derek is a man who comes to us with a depth of ministry experience both inside the church and outside. He describes himself as a producer, a writer, and an advocate to end poverty. But mostly what he brings is an invitation to respond to the call of God and to discover how God would desire to use your life for glory of His Kingdom.

MOP-ing Up
Thursday, September 3rd, 2009
As the seasons change and the leaves turn, so too begins another ministry season. And like the red maple leaves, MOPS is one of our first signs of fall.
MOPS (Mothers of Preschoolers) seeks to encourage, equip, and help women become the best moms that they can be! MOPS is designed to nurture every mother with children from infancy through kindergarten. Our first meeting will be September 16th from 9 – 11am. After that we meet the 1st and 3rd Wednesdays of the month from 9 – 11am.
We hope you’ll come join us! And if you know a Mom who’s a MOP, feel free to invite her as well.
