Online Giving Now Available

“This service that you perform is not only supplying the needs of God’s people but is also overflowing in many expressions of thanks to God.” 2 Corinthians 9:12
As members of the body at dec, giving back to God financially is an act of worship we do willingly and joyfully. It encourages us to be good stewards of all His gifts and allows us to demonstrate our thanksgiving and trust in His faithfulness. By doing this we recognize Him as our provider and sustainer. And now, for dec’s more technologically inclined stewards, online giving is here! If you prefer to handle finances digitally, online giving is safe, fast, and just as effective placing your offering in the basket on Sunday. Interested in switching to Online Giving? Just log onto durhame.org/onlinegiving and follow the easy instructions to begin giving back to God on the net.

Blog On
Sunday, March 29th, 2009
Greetings,
The dec web team is rolling out yet another site improvement – blogs for each of our five staff ministers. Each pastor now has a dedicated chunk of virtual real estate to share with the congregation. You can read what the pastors are up to, and respond with your own questions and comments. You can even subscribe to the pastors’ blogs via email or RSS feed – so you can easily keep up to date with the discussion.
If you’re as psyched as we are, check out the blogs at the links below:
- Terry Sharbaugh’s blog
- John Wiswell’s blog
- Tom Froning’s blog
- Sue Spinney’s blog
- Chris Clough’s blog
And as a special bonus, you can now subscribe to the dec news page via RSS feed or email as well – to keep up with dec news, site changes, and more.
Thanks!
- the dec web team

durhame.org: now with email
Monday, March 9th, 2009
Greetings!
Your friendly neighborhood web team has uploaded the first of a series of planned updates to the site. While our generic “Contact Form” is still around and useful for contacting the church at large, we’ve implemented a series of new forms for contacting ministries and pastors. You can contact staff from our staff directory page, or contact ministries from their respective ministry pages (such as the fabulous new Marriage & Family Life page.)
Thanks, and God Bless,
- the dec web team

dec Launches New Web Site
Sunday, December 28th, 2008
You’ve probably already realized it at this point, but dec has a new, streamlined web experience. The new site features new navigation, additional information, and an interface boasting six fruit flavors.
This marks the first time that dec’s website has been created and maintained by dec’s web team. Our previous site was written, coded, and maintained through the incredible efforts of Peter and Lisa Malvey, and we’re grateful for their fantastic work. The web team, meanwhile, was responsible for discussing web theory and eating Doritos.
But now, after recognizing that having a web team that doesn’t work on one’s web site is fairly unorthodox, the web team has stepped up to the plate. The new site is online, and we’re not finished yet. We’re already planning more features and ways to streamline our current ones, so please send us your comments and ideas as you use the site. We’re here to serve.
And eat Doritos.
