Haiti update 2/4/10 from Jeremiah Cady

February 4th, 2010 by dec News
After 39 hours of travel Jenn FroningĀ and I made it home. What a sweet homecoming to see my beautiful wife and my amazing children. I could not get the sad truth out of my mind that many people I met the last 10 days had children, husbands, wives, and parents killed in the earthquake. Talk about a gratitude check.
Overall the trip went well, we saw and experienced many things that I will never forget and will probably share with only a few people as they are emotionally overwhelming. What a desperate place Haiti is. They need food, water, sanitation, housing, and most of all to be shown Gods love by letting them know we have not forgotten them.
I am sure that this will not be my last trip to Haiti as God has placed a burden on my heart for Haiti and the people who suffer there. Thank you from the bottom of my heart to all who participated in this trip by praying for us and taking such good care of my family while I was gone. (Anne may have made out better while I was gone than when I am home.)
Please continue to pray for John as he stayed behind to do a few more things before heading home. As I write this he is at the bus station starting his long journey home. I am very excited to see how God will work through our church in the future to bless the poor in Haiti, and I am so honored just to be a part of that.
