Looking for an opportunity to serve?  Why not come join us for a few days of hard work as we take care of the blessing God has given us in the dec building?  We’ll be re-roofing the church roof above the upper entry and nursery on Friday, Saturday, and Monday, October 9, 10, and 12. We need people of all skill levels to join us, so please come for one, two, or even three days to help!

Is your Windows PC running slowly?  Are you sure you’ve taken steps to protect it from malicious intruders?

If not, consider visiting the dec tech team on October 10th in the dec function hall from 10 to 2 for our PC Clinic!

The PC Clinic is an opportunity for you to bring in your ‘sick’ PC and have the dec Tech Team run your machine through basic diagnostics tests and a multi-point safety/security check list!  Everyone is welcome, from dec church members to friends and neighbors. We’re using this opportunity to minister and reach out to our friends and neighbors by bringing them in with their computers that need attention. We will not be preaching to anyone or questioning why someone has not been in church for ages, we will simply be serving them by looking at their computer and building relationships with our community.

Come one and all!  The grills have been smoking for hours and we’ll soon be feasting on pork, chicken, sausage and burgers.  Rain or shine the food is served at 4:00 until it runs out.  If it rains, we’ll eat indoors, but we hope the skies will clear for a great picnic.  Bring a friend and enjoy!  It’s free!

“If you have any encouragement from being united in Christ, if any comfort from his love, if any fellowship with the Spirit, if any tenderness and compassion….” Philippians 2:1  United in Christ to encourage, comfort and fellowship, that describes DEC Small Groups.  Weekly, groups gather to share their lives, care for each other, pray and grow in faith.  New groups are starting in Dover and Newmarket and many more groups seeking new members.   Find out more at the Info Booth today or email small.groups@durhame.org.

The 20 Somethings will gather for a movie on Saturday, Sept. 12th following the Pig Roast or around 6:45pm.  Join us in the youth room to watch “The Second Chance”.  Popcorn will be provided.  Come join us!

The dec 20 Somethings’ group is staging their version of The Amazing Race, Saturday, September 26. Join us for a Driving Scavenger Hunt at 4PM followed by a time of fellowship at 6PM. Meet in dec the lower lot. Things to bring: cars or gas money, digital cameras and friends. Feel free to come to either part or all of the event.
